Mr. Burrus is C.E.O. of Power Max Consulting, Inc.
Mr.
Burrus is responsible for project development and management from inception to final reporting.
He is the primary statistician and engineer for Power Max Consulting (PMAX).
His responsibilities have included individual curriculum and educational model
development, test plan design, implementation, focus group and interview moderation, data
collection, analysis and reporting.
He is the
owner and operator of PMAX responsible for implementing industrial engineering
and process improvement initiatives. He has completed statistical assessment,
QA/QC and safety studies, new product introduction, full project management, and
research for Public and Private Sector clients.
He is responsible for complete operations of this business, started during
Graduate School.
Besides being the business manager, he also functions as the senior consultant
and project manager for
all incoming studies and research.
His
specialties are overall quality and productivity improvements, driving
implementation down to the floor and throughout organizations. Training clients
on: strategic and operation metrics, team action plans, root cause
and failure analysis, opportunity and issue resolution, management
accountability, employee empowerment
and accountability, ISO Certification, Lean/Six Sigma, visual factory, 5S, TQM,
PDCA, Gap Analysis, front-line supervision shift and variance controls, and
integration of supply chain, engineering, quality, logistics and floor
operations in real time. PMAX moves companies from constant fire fighting to
identification and resolution
of issues at the point of origin and through preventative and predictive
maintenance.
PMAX Clients included GM's Saturn Division, Delco Electronics, Morton MetalCraft
(discreet parts manufacturer),
John Deere, Caterpillar, Gerdau AmeriSteel, Wacker Siltronic (semi-conductor),
Honeywell, 3M, Northwest
Airlines, and The Knowledge Process Company (Process Improvement Consulting
Firm).
His academic research work has included: evaluation of in-vehicle information
systems,
studies on multi-tasking while completing a primary task, and interactions between
humans and computer terminals (man-machine interactions).
